Terms & Conditions

These terms govern the enrolment and participation of individuals in programmes offered by Hikmat Academy. Please read them carefully before registering for any course or workshop.

Last updated: 28 April 2025

1. Introduction and Parties

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute an agreement between Hikmat Academy ("the Academy," "we," "us") and any individual ("the Participant," "you") who enrols in, attends, or purchases access to any programme, course, seminar, or workshop offered by the Academy.

By completing registration and submitting payment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not accept these Terms, please do not proceed with enrolment.

Hikmat Academy operates from 85, Jalan Sultan Ismail, 50250 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan, Malaysia. Enquiries may be directed to [email protected] or by telephone at +60 3-2148 6739.

2. Programmes Offered

The Academy currently offers the following structured programmes. Details including schedules, fees, and curriculum may be updated from time to time; the current version of such details is published on our website.

Programme Duration Fee (MYR)
Twelve-Week Investing Foundations 12 Saturday mornings 2,150
Six-Session Retirement Reading Course 6 sessions × 2 hours 980
Single-Topic Saturday Workshop 4 hours, one session 480

All fees are stated in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) and are inclusive of written course materials unless otherwise noted at the time of registration.

3. Enrolment and Registration

Enrolment is completed when the Academy has received a completed registration form and the applicable fee in full. Submission of a form alone does not constitute a confirmed place.

4. Payment and Refund Policy

Full payment is required to confirm a place in any programme. The Academy does not offer instalment arrangements unless separately agreed in writing.

4.1 Withdrawals by the Participant

4.2 Cancellation or Rescheduling by the Academy

The Academy may cancel or reschedule a programme if enrolment is insufficient to form a viable cohort, or in circumstances beyond its reasonable control. In such cases, participants will be offered either a full refund or a transfer to the next available cohort of the same programme, at their election.

4.3 Missed Sessions

Partial attendance does not entitle the participant to a partial refund. Where a participant misses a session due to illness or emergency, the Academy will endeavour to provide written materials for that session, but cannot guarantee make-up sessions or recordings.

5. Programme Conduct and Participation

The Academy is committed to maintaining an environment of substantive, respectful discussion. The following expectations apply to all participants.

6. Educational Nature of Programmes

All programmes offered by Hikmat Academy are educational in character. The Academy is not a licensed financial adviser, investment manager, or legal practitioner. Nothing in any course, session, workshop, or written material constitutes personalised financial, investment, tax, or legal advice.

Participants are encouraged to consult appropriately qualified professionals when making specific financial or legal decisions. The Academy does not accept responsibility for any financial decisions made by participants on the basis of course content.

Faculty members may hold professional credentials in their respective fields. These credentials are described accurately in the Academy's published materials. However, the holding of such credentials does not transform course participation into a professional advisory relationship.

7. Intellectual Property and Course Materials

All course materials — including written notes, syllabuses, reading guides, and any other documents provided to participants — remain the intellectual property of Hikmat Academy or the relevant faculty member. Enrolment grants the participant a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use these materials for their own personal educational purposes.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law, Hikmat Academy's liability to any participant arising out of or in connection with a programme shall not exceed the fee paid by that participant for the specific programme in question.

The Academy is not liable for any indirect, consequential, or financial loss arising from a participant's reliance on course content. This includes but is not limited to investment losses, taxation liabilities, or losses arising from decisions made in reliance on content presented in any session or written material.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by the Academy's negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

9. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms, including any question regarding their existence, validity, or termination, shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.

In the event of a dispute, the parties agree to seek resolution informally in the first instance by contacting the Academy at [email protected] and allowing a reasonable period for response.

10. Amendments to These Terms

The Academy reserves the right to amend these Terms from time to time. The version in force at the time of a participant's registration applies to that enrolment. Amendments affecting existing enrolments will be communicated by email.

The current version of these Terms is published at hikmatacpw.pro/terms-conditions and is dated as shown above.
